I'm not saying it's lucky for Blue Sea to experience apocalyse but they're really built to face it. And while apocalypse is good to Blue Sea, it is also that cruel to Long-Tendrils. I just read a novel where humans weren't allowed to communicate or they will be killed, even a simple gesture could kill them. That novel shows how humans used to take communication for granted and with its abscence humanity collapsed. The case is different here, Long-Tendrils would've wanted to understand aliens but they simply can't. So apocalypse happening to them is really that cruel.
