Phew. I was afraid that the perspective will shift into two and turn more on MC's world.

Is the city lord the only one expanding life? Or all superhuman? If the end goal of a safe city is to be a planet, what if city lords are meant to evolve into the world's consciousness? Or maybe it's the AI that will be the world's consciousness. Afterall, AI are programed to record and copy their City Lords and ran the city. In other novels, apocalypse happens because the world's consciousness died, which causes the laws to fail. Maybe that's what's happening to these worlds. After all, if we assumed MC as a god is equivalent to world consciousness, she's able to restart her world even after 7 extinctions when she's still able to move and kind of still healthy. The only reason the eighth child faced a total destruction was because MC is dying. If MC is still well, that black hole will be flick away, just like how world consciousness in novels reject foreign energies that tried to invade. Perhaps that's also what's happening to these disaster worlds. Their world's consciousness is already dead and therefore, cannot protect itself nor heal.
