Chapter 225: Lingxiao Treasure Hall
“Why do I feel like… someone’s calling me?”
While vacationing in the cultivation area, Cheng Qisheng sensed something, but after probing with her mental power, she found nothing unusual.
Cautiously, she swept her mental power across all the areas where her believers were located. Only after confirming that everything was indeed fine did she return to vacation mode.
Come to think of it, ever since Lu Song left Blue Sea, there had been no news of him.
By rights, now that Blue Sea’s residents were going around catching ghosts in their capacity as ghost catchers, Lu Song should have heard something about it, at the very least, shouldn’t he?
So why hadn’t he reunited with the main group yet?
Hopefully, he was all right.
Prophecies weren’t set in stone. Take the previous incident, for example. The prophet Gong Cheng had foreseen an attack by the Green Lizard civilization, so Blue Sea Safe City had made preparations in advance. They hadn’t given the Green Lizard civilization a chance to open a war channel at all, instead wiping them out remotely with [Heaven’s Punishment].
This action had caused the future to change. In Gong Cheng’s original prophecy, Xie Wuke’s room would grow larger as the Safe City expanded. Presumably, this was because Blue Sea would win the war and absorb the Green Lizard civilization’s territory.
The buildings in Blue Sea Safe City had only just been sorted into their respective categories, and this world would acquire even more Divine Kingdom territory in the future. Cheng Qisheng in that version of the future had probably simply spent some nuclear crystals to expand the floor space of various buildings.
But once the future changed, the radiation that [Heaven’s Punishment] might produce twenty years later meant that Blue Sea couldn’t directly incorporate Green Lizard Safe City into its territory. Naturally, the future Gong Cheng had foreseen, in which Xie Wuke’s room grew larger, no longer existed.
—Although the great Blue Sea Creator God had still personally rewarded Xie Wuke with another room, one that was somewhat larger.
After all, while it might have seemed that he’d done nothing, it was through his future that Gong Cheng had glimpsed a fragment of Blue Sea’s future. And Blue Sea’s rewards had always been based solely on results.
Naturally, as the prophet himself, Gong Cheng received an even greater reward. Aside from the points awarded to him, at his own request, he had also been granted unrestricted access to all of Blue Sea’s existing Tactical Courses and every indoor and outdoor training ground.
She casually glanced over at Gong Cheng, who was in the training ground, drinking starfruit juice while enthusiastically pushing himself through a life-threatening workout. Seeing that Blue Sea’s prophet was still very much alive and kicking, Cheng Qisheng withdrew her gaze with relief.
She then turned to Aether, who was busy working with its head down.
“Aether~ what are you working on?”
“City Lord, I’m coordinating the functional-zone architectural design plans for the nineteenth revision of the Blue Sea Great Luo Heavenly Court.”
When it came to these matters, Cheng Qisheng had always been the type to leave everything to others. Her job was to paint the grand vision, while Old Eighth diligently turned that vision into reality. During the process, Aether was responsible for participating in the work and keeping her updated along the way.
Hearing that they’d already reached the nineteenth revision of the design plans, Cheng Qisheng asked, “Haven’t you settled on the final draft yet?”
Aether replied, “Unless something unexpected happens, the nineteenth version should be the final one.”
Cheng Qisheng thought to herself that it really was becoming more and more human in the way it spoke.
“Let me have a look.”
After all, Blue Sea’s architectural plans weren’t something as simple as drawing a stick figure. A single design for the Blue Sea Great Luo Heavenly Court involved at least fifty thousand residents working on it.
Since most of the residents had descended upon Fallen Heaven Star, even Lilith, whose specialty was magic, had joined the design department. Every day, the moment she opened her eyes, she was already buried in calculations and blueprints.
Actually, in principle, the Heavenly Court only needed a basic model to follow. After all, nobody on Fallen Heaven Star had ever seen what a Great Luo Heavenly Court was supposed to look like.
Even if the people of Blue Sea went around telling everyone that immortals disdained luxury, spending their days wearing coarse hemp clothes and squatting in mountain caves, neither eating nor drinking anything but the wind from the northwest, the local gods would only look at the divine power radiating from their bodies and praise the Heavenly Court’s deities for their virtue:
“Free of desire, they stand firm; all under Heaven naturally submits.”
But this was Blue Sea’s land!
Blue Sea had no intention of giving it away to Fallen Heaven Star.
The current Blue Sea Great Luo Heavenly Court was merely a demonstration for the local gods. In the future, once more local gods joined them, they could use their own Divine Kingdom territories to build their own palaces!
The Heavenly Court that Blue Sea was building was meant to return to Blue Sea eventually!
Since it was their own territory and their own buildings, why wouldn’t they make sure to build them properly?
As a result, the current design plan for the Heavenly Court had to meet two requirements: it needed to convey the majesty of the Heavenly Court and the grandeur of its gods, while also being ready for immediate use once it returned to Blue Sea.
The prospect of working together to create a massive complex of ancient divine palaces had the residents of Blue Sea incredibly excited. All sorts of design proposals were constantly pouring in.
Cheng Qisheng remembered seeing one proposal earlier that went something like this:
“We could build an extra-long slide! In the future, whenever immortals descend from Heaven to the mortal world, they can just go whoosh and slide all the way down!”
—It was obvious that one of the Old Eighth had come up with that idea for their own benefit.
The proposal had actually been quite popular, with everyone enthusiastically declaring how cool it would be. Unfortunately, it was eventually dropped, much to everyone’s regret, because the materials needed to build the slide were too difficult to obtain.
Cheng Qisheng, however, thought it was probably for the best that the proposal had been scrapped.
Otherwise, she could hardly imagine what it would be like in the future on Fallen Heaven Star, with immortals descending to the mortal world by sliding down a giant playground slide.
Aether had already floated over beside Cheng Qisheng and opened a large virtual screen for her, displaying the nineteenth version of the design plans.
It showed three-dimensional designs of all kinds of Heavenly Court buildings.
Cheng Qisheng looked through them one by one.
The Lingxiao Treasure Hall, Ziwei Palace, Tongming Hall, Jade Lake, Cold Palace, Thunder Department, Spirit Palace…
These were all major palaces. There were countless other functional buildings as well. Even the Southern Heavenly Gate, which Cheng Qisheng was familiar with, had its own detailed design plans.
“Why was this version chosen as the final design?”
Aether floated beside her face and answered seriously:
“Because resident Song Xi brought back the remains of the Black Tortoise.”
It then projected another virtual image, showing the remains of the Black Tortoise.
“Although the Black Tortoise’s remains aren’t as large as the Heavenly Court’s projected total area, their structure is quite unusual. They can serve perfectly well as the foundation of the Heavenly Court.”
In the projection, a long pillar rose from the top of the Black Tortoise’s remains, and the various Heavenly Court buildings were constructed on top of that pillar.
Cheng Qisheng raised an eyebrow. “So what you’re saying is… the nineteenth version allows us to build the Great Luo Heavenly Court on top of the Black Tortoise’s remains?”
Aether replied, “Yes.”
“I remember… Song Xi can control the Black Tortoise’s remains now, right?”
“Yes, City Lord. So once the Heavenly Court designed according to this version is completed, in theory, it will be able to move freely above the cloud layer of Fallen Heaven Star.”
Cheng Qisheng: A mobile Heavenly Court?
Just how many more surprises did Fallen Heaven Star have in store?
This was far better than anything Blue Sea had originally envisioned.
She casually swiped her hand, bringing over the three-dimensional design of the Lingxiao Treasure Hall. Then she flipped through the directory, and the virtual projection transformed into a document that floated in midair, its appearance mimicking that of a physical book.
Printed in large characters across the cover were the words:
—The Heavenly Court Lingxiao Treasure Hall Construction Project.

A super short chapter.
