Chapter 257 – Qu Ran and Yunlan

Chen Yunlan didn’t dare to imagine what treatment Qu Ran might have endured during the time of his confinement, which led to his resolute decision to leap from the tenth floor without any attachment.

Perhaps sensing Chen Yunlan’s sorrowful emotions, the movements of the child in his stomach became more intense, as if wanting to come out. Indeed, the amniotic fluid had broken.

He didn’t look to his father and brother with pleading eyes but, with unsteady steps, carefully walked out of the Chen house. Enduring immense pain, he hailed a taxi at the entrance and asked the driver to take him to the nearest hospital.

However, how could the Chen family ever allow others to know that their family’s young master, Chen Yunlan, was a “monster” capable of giving birth? So, Chen Yunsheng intercepted Chen Yunlan and took him to a privately arranged hospital and performed a cesarean section to deliver the child from Chen Yunlan’s belly.

Naturally, the Chen family wouldn’t overlook this child. However, Chen Yunsheng had a plan in mind. As soon as the child was born, he had the doctors conduct a blood test on the baby.

Chen Yunlan didn’t cry. He had forgotten what crying was. He just stood there blankly, quietly watching the child in his arms, and as for the heartbeat in his chest, it gradually faded away.
