Chapter 19: Green Hat

The ticket seller spent a minute verifying the card’s information. Once confirmed, she returned the 300 yuan to Jiang Xu and handed six tickets to Qin Mo with a very polite attitude.

“If you need help during your visit, please contact the service station, and we will assist you as soon as possible.”

“Thank you,” Qin Mo replied politely.

The gate staff checked their tickets and allowed them to enter.

Liu An’an tugged at Wen Xia’s arm and whispered, “Xia Xia, where did handsome cousin get this amusement park SVIP card?”

Wen Xia shook her head. She had never come to an amusement park with Qin Mo. Their past dates were always at more romantic locations—well, except for the occasional exceptions.

When they were in college, they were in a long-distance relationship, with two cities far apart—one in the north and the other in the south. It took two days by train, and they saw each other once a month.

In her junior year, their relationship became more stable, and whenever Qin Mo visited, they mostly spent time in hotels.

Jiang Yan suddenly leaned in excitedly and whispered, “Don’t you think handsome cousin looks like a rich, handsome school heartthrob from a novel?”

She mimicked a scene from the novel, “Baby, this card is unlimited, and the password is your birthday.”

“Hahaha, that’s my favorite line!” Liu An’an exclaimed, stomping her feet in excitement.

The two of them had recently read the same novel. It used to be the three of them, but recently, Wen Xia had dropped out of their novel club.

Wen Xia laughed until her stomach hurt and knocked the two on their heads. “Stop reading so many novels; you’re becoming idiots.”

The two of them chuckled.

Jiang Xu, who had already felt a bit embarrassed for not paying for the bus, now felt even more awkward since he didn’t pay for the tickets either. “Let me treat you to some coconut juice,” he offered.

Liu An’an shook her head. “Don’t drink it now. You’ll end up throwing up later.”

“Ahh! Ahh!” A piercing scream suddenly echoed through the air.

Liu An’an, who was always bold, suddenly got excited and pointed at the nearby giant swing. “Let’s go ride the giant swing.”

Wen Xia instinctively refused. She didn’t come to the amusement park for thrilling rides like that.

“You guys go ahead, I’ll ride the carousel,” she said.

Liu An’an and Jiang Yan each grabbed one of her arms. Jiang Yan winked and said, “No way, the three of us can’t be without one.”

She gave Liu An’an a look, and Liu An’an immediately understood.

She was giving Wen Xia and Jiang Xu some time alone.

There weren’t many people riding the giant swing, but there were plenty of onlookers.

Wen Xia was pushed into a seat by Jiang Yan and Liu An’an, with Qin Mo sitting next to her.

The other side was still empty, so Jiang Yan winked at Jiang Xu, signaling him to hurry up and sit down.

Liu Bo Yi, seemingly clueless, sat down on the other side of Wen Xia.

Liu An’an: “…”

Jiang Yan: “…”

Jiang Xu froze.

Jiang Yan looked at Liu An’an. “How did your brother end up sitting there? Didn’t you promise he would cooperate?”

Liu An’an quickly rushed forward, tugging on Liu Bo Yi’s sleeve and blinking at him. “Brother, sit next to me!”

“Aren’t there empty seats next to me?” Liu Bo Yi looked at the seat beside him. Then, with a click, his seatbelt was fastened.

Liu An’an: “…”

In the end, Jiang Xu was three seats away from Wen Xia.

The giant swing slowly began to move, and then it picked up speed.

“Ahhh! Husband! Save me, Husband!”

“Husband! Help!”

Amid the screams, one woman’s voice was especially shrill.

Liu An’an: “…”

Jiang Yan: “…”

Jiang Xu: “…”

Liu Boyi: “…”

Only Qin Mo smiled. He reached out and held Wen Xia’s hand. “Don’t be afraid.”

The giant swing came to a stop, and as the staff unlocked the seat belts, they couldn’t help but glance at Wen Xia a few more times.

So young and already married?

Liu An’an and Jiang Yan got off the giant swing, laughing so hard that tears were coming out.

The two of them didn’t think much of it. When the three of them used to read novels together, they liked calling the male leads “Husband.”

Liu An’an nudged Wen Xia. “Xia Xia, what novel have you been reading? You tell us not to read novels, but you secretly read them. Come on, tell us, what’s the name of the novel?”

Wen Xia: “…”

She glanced at Qin Mo and randomly made up a title. “Iceberg School Prince Falls in Love with Me.”

Qin Mo twitched his mouth.

Jiang Yan gave two soft hums. “Xia Xia, you’re reading novels by yourself now? I don’t care; bring the book to school tomorrow. I’m going to read it.”

“I want to read it too,” Liu An’an quickly nodded.

Liu Boyi tapped her forehead, threatening, “Try reading again, and you’ll see.”

He gave a stern look to Jiang Yan and Wen Xia. “Stop reading novels.”

Liu An’an rubbed her forehead, pouting and too scared to argue.

Jiang Yan obediently nodded.

Wen Xia breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness Liu Boyi had said that, or she would’ve had no idea where to find a book titled “Iceberg School Prince Falls in Love with Me.”

After a few more rides, Liu An’an and Jiang Yan intentionally left Jiang Xu and Wen Xia alone, but handsome cousin and Liu Boyi didn’t catch on at all.

At noon, the six of them found a small pavilion in the amusement park to eat. Nearby, there was a stall selling milk tea and grilled sausages.

Qin Mo stood up and walked over to the milk tea stall. “Three cups of milk tea, one with less sugar and extra pearls, three cups of double-skin milk pudding, and six bottles of mineral water.”

The young man had fair skin, delicate brows, and a handsome face, making him quite striking.

The waitress glanced at him a few more times, her face turning slightly red. “That’ll be 85 yuan.”

Qin Mo lowered his gaze, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a few 100-yuan bills, handing one to her.

Liu An’an, who had unintentionally seen this, widened her eyes. “Xia Xia, does your cousin’s family have a lot of money?”

“It’s okay,” Wen Xia replied.

She looked over at Qin Mo. His messy hair glinted slightly yellow in the sunlight, complementing his fair skin. His nose was sharp, and she could still faintly see a small mole on his nose.

Jiang Yan leaned in closer and whispered, “The more I look at your cousin, the more handsome he seems. How did he end up with a girlfriend? I didn’t even get a chance.”

Wen Xia reached out and lightly tapped her forehead, teasing, “You don’t want to be with Brother Zhou Qing anymore?”

Immediately, Jiang Yan’s face flushed red.

“Hahaha, only I have a chance with your cousin!” Liu An’an grinned mischievously.

“Dream on!”

“Dream on!”

Wen Xia and Jiang Yan didn’t hold back, bursting her daydream.

The next second, the three of them were laughing together.

A few minutes later, Qin Mo came back, carrying a bag of items. He handed them out to the others, finally placing the milk tea and double-skin milk pudding in front of Wen Xia.

“Wow, thank you, cousin,” Liu An’an said as she took a spoonful of double-skin milk pudding, her eyes squinting in delight.

Qin Mo shook his head. “No need to thank me.”

The group played until three in the afternoon, then everyone went home. Jiang Xu hadn’t found an opportunity to confess, and hadn’t even spent any money, leaving him with a sense of defeat.

On the way back, Qin Mo took a taxi, and the four of them arrived at the entrance of Ande Community.

Wen Xia and Qin Mo entered the neighborhood together.

Qin Mo asked, “Do you want to come home and do some homework with me?”

Wen Xia thought of the dreadful math test and nodded. “I’ll go up and get the test papers.”

At that moment, Wen De wasn’t at home—he must have gone to the factory again. She grabbed her test papers, pens, and a notebook, then went downstairs.

Qin Mo’s parents weren’t home either, only Liu Ci was cleaning.

After greeting her, they went up to the second floor. As soon as they entered the bedroom, Qin Mo locked the door behind them. Then, he moved toward Wen Xia, pinning her to the wall with both hands.

He leaned slightly forward, his voice dripping with a hint of danger. “You’re going to put a green hat on me right in front of me? Hmm?”

**TN

It suddenly became Ande Community and not De’an Community. IDK why. XD
