Chapter 157.1: Flower Fairy
It wasn’t until Xie Chongyi flipped him over, embraced him face-to-face, cupped his face, and pressed his soft lips against his mouth that he finally snapped back to reality.
“Class Monitor? What are you… Ugh! Wait… wait—” Wu Heng was clean now, but the back was still noticeably dry. Xie Chongyi’s fingers pushed hard, only to find they couldn’t penetrate. He withdrew, but his fingers lingered, circling the entrance, refusing to leave.
“The Northern Base has decided to begin the southward relocation in a month. Moving a large base isn’t something accomplished overnight. So after they made the decision, I handed over my responsibilities and left the Northern Base directly with Dou Lu.” Xie Chongyi pinned Wu Heng beneath him, lips pressed against his, murmuring softly while slipping his hand from Wu Heng’s loose waistband to caress the soft, cool curve of his waist.
Wu Heng’s breath caught in the kiss. His palms pressed against Xie Chongyi’s chest, and in the shifting light, he finally made out the face above him—startled by the sight of his own flushed reflection in the other’s eyes.
“Dou Lu isn’t in Jingzhou either?”
Xie Chongyi bit the corner of the youth’s lip. “I don’t like hearing other people’s names from your mouth at times like this.”
Wu Heng felt confused. Hadn’t he been the one to mention it first?
“Focus.” Xie Chongyi’s tongue pushed past Wu Heng’s teeth. His palm swept through Wu Heng’s hair, cupping the back of his head to hold him completely still. Then Xie Chongyi’s kisses fell like a sudden storm.
Wu Heng’s mouth hung open, unable to close. His teeth parted completely, sticky saliva spilling from the corners of his lips. Eyes shut, his breath came in ragged, heavy gasps.
Xie Chongyi kept his eyes half-open, his red pupils fixed on the figure beneath him—frowning and whimpering intermittently.
When his fingers probed again, the wetness deepened.
Yet Xie Chongyi no longer seemed as impatient as before. He withdrew his hand, wrapped his arm around Wu Heng’s back, lifted him up, cradling him partially in his embrace. He guided him to the headboard, his other hand slowly and deliberately undoing the buttons of Wu Heng’s pajamas.
The boy kept his eyes lowered, occasionally glancing at Wu Heng’s fair, smooth chest, though most of the time his gaze remained fixed on Wu Heng’s face and eyes.
“I miss you. Do you miss me?” Xie Chongyi bent his waist slightly to meet Wu Heng’s gaze.
Wu Heng licked his lips, his voice hoarse. “I do.”
“Captain Jiang said everyone really likes you. What did you do?”
Wu Heng shook his head. “Nothing.”
“I don’t believe you.” Xie Chongyi mimicked his shake, his fingers silently tracing down the other’s lower back as his upper body pressed closer.
Wu Heng lifted his eyes, trying to speak, but not even the first syllable escaped his lips. Warm fingers pushed inside without a shred of mercy. Xie Chongyi lowered his eyelids in displeasure, his voice thin and hoarse. “Punishment.”
The words barely left his mouth before he fed Wu Heng another finger.
“No… slow…” Even the most cold and world-weary person couldn’t remain composed with something thrust inside their rear.
Wu Heng’s body was pinned down, his calves kicking weakly against the sheets. His hair spilled across Xie Chongyi’s arm, the jet-black strands trembling slightly. The faint green hue deepened, and a tiny sprout, barely larger than a fingernail, emerged from between his strands.
Xie Chongyi felt it, turned his head to look, and stifled a laugh. “Flower fairy.”
Wu Heng’s pupils shifted, but before he could speak, Xie Chongyi slid another finger inside, whispering against his ear, “Why do you bloom every time I touch you?”
Only when it was sufficiently soft and wet did Xie Chongyi replace his fingers with himself.
He looked down at Wu Heng’s expression, which seemed to hold a grievance, and couldn’t resist thrusting into him forcefully, turning the accusation and defiance into swaying, sensual rhythm.
Every inch of Wu Heng’s body seemed utterly disconnected from anything resembling sex. Sex was desire, procreation, life itself, yet Wu Heng’s skin and eyes were uniformly lifeless.
Realizing this, Xie Chongyi felt an inexplicable, twisted satisfaction well up inside him. The Wu Heng he saw was different from the Wu Heng others saw. Therefore, in Wu Heng’s eyes, he was special.
“Before the apocalypse, this hotel was barely second-rate. Its soundproofing is the worst among hotels of its class,” Xie Chongyi raised his hand to cover Wu Heng’s mouth, leaning down to kiss his eyes. “So you can’t scream too loudly. Just loud enough for only me to hear—that’s perfect.”
Wu Heng’s eyes glistened, a thin film of moisture clinging to his lashes. His legs were spread wide, his hips aching from the impact.
The sharp pain in front was matched by a tingling sensation in back that shot straight up his spine. He struggled to lift his head in Xie Chongyi’s embrace, his gaze meeting Xie’s until he couldn’t tell who was the predator and who was the prey.
“Don’t look at me like that.” Wu Heng’s eyes were now filled with desire. He’d always been blunt about expressing his physical needs, leaving Xie Chongyi struggling to resist.
But when Wu Heng actually averted his gaze, Xie Chongyi grew displeased, pinching his cheek lightly yet firmly. “Where are you looking?”
Wu Heng tilted his neck, struggling to steady his breath. “Class Monitor, you ask too much.”
“Not at all. “ Xie Chongyi lowered his head, kissing his nose bridge all the way up to his brow. ”We need to hurry. Otherwise, your Mengzhi will be back soon.”
Xie Chongyi’s style in bed was unpredictable. When gentle, he could make someone dizzy with desire, wishing they could give him their very soul. But most of the time, he was rough and fierce—and as an ability user, it only intensified. Gentleness was usually just a fleeting prelude.
Controlled by Xie Chongyi, both of them came simultaneously. The difference was that one was inside Wu Heng’s body, while the other clung to Xie Chongyi’s upper and lower abdomen.
Afterward, Xie Chongyi carried Wu Heng to the bathroom for cleansing.
Under the soothing hot water, Xie Chongyi had just used his fingers to extract what was inside Wu Heng. Just as Wu Heng exhaled in relief, Xie Chongyi thrust back inside.
Wu Heng’s constitution was no longer weak. Under the influence of his supernatural abilities and the mutated plant, even a beating might not knock him unconscious.
But Xie Chongyi was his equal in strength—and possessed the primal essence of all ability users within his body. Wu Heng couldn’t endure the relentless, uninterrupted pace.
His gaze grew unfocused. Before consciousness completely faded, he felt grateful he’d stuffed himself silly with protein at the base cafeteria.
…
After drying Wu Heng off, Xie Chongyi carried him back to the bed, blow-dried his hair again, and put the pajamas that had been tossed on the nightstand back on him.
Even in sleep, the tip of Wu Heng’s nose was still red from crying earlier. Xie Chongyi lay down beside him, propping his head on one hand, his fingers sliding from Wu Heng’s brows down to his cheek, finally lingering on his not particularly full yet beautifully shaped, enticing lips.
When he was asleep, he looked utterly emotionless—no furrowed brows, no slightly parted lips revealing confusion—completely different from how he had been on the bed and in the bathroom just moments ago.
Only after thoroughly savoring the pleasant feel of Wu Heng’s face did Xie Chongyi turn over and get out of bed. He lay down on the bed next door, pulled the blanket over himself, and covered up so completely that not even a single strand of hair was left exposed.
About half an hour later, Lin Mengzhi appeared in the corridor, shouting slogans.
“Recruitment didn’t go smoothly—the revolution still needs effort!”
“Be my foot soldier! Be my foot soldier!”
Beep—
Lin Mengzhi swiped the room card to unlock the door. After saying goodbye to his vice team leader, he shut the door behind him. Turning around, he frowned. “Why does it smell like flowers?”
The scent of poppies wasn’t entirely fragrant; there was also a trace of grassy bitterness mixed in. Combined, it wasn’t exactly pleasant, but it was refreshing and sharp.
“A’Heng~~~” Lin Mengzhi noticed, but didn’t grow suspicious. He brushed aside the odd temperature in the room, circled past his own bed, and flopped onto Wu Heng’s bed by the window. The person on the bed didn’t move at all. “You’re asleep?”
He quietly lifted the blanket. Wu Heng was lying on his side, eyes closed tight—clearly already asleep.
“Forget it. I’ll go shower and sleep too. Tomorrow we’ll keep catching crayfish,” Lin Mengzhi muttered to himself. As he pondered how to grow his little team bigger and stronger, he walked into the bathroom.
From the time he finished showering and changed into the pajamas Wu Heng had taken out for him earlier, to the moment he yanked his own blanket open with a whoosh, Lin Mengzhi had been grinning foolishly the whole time.
But after lifting the blanket, he couldn’t smile anymore.
Xie Chongyi—whom he hadn’t seen for a month or two—was now lying on his bed, looking perfectly at ease.
“Mengzhi, long time no see.” Xie Chongyi smiled brightly, yet insincerely, and even waved at him. “Come on, sleep next to me.”
Lin Mengzhi stormed out in fury.
He absolutely could not coexist with gay men under the same roof!
After Lin Mengzhi left the room, Xie Chongyi dropped the smile from his face, got off the bed, and lay back down on Wu Heng’s bed instead.
Homeless and unaware that this had all been a ploy to drive him away, Lin Mengzhi went from door to door, knocking, trying to find someone willing to take him in.
The first door he knocked on belonged to Jiang Xun. She was wearing only a black tank top, and even in a relaxed state, the muscles wrapped beneath her jacket showed clear definition. She wasn’t as tall as Lin Mengzhi, but her presence was absolutely imposing.
Seeing him, she raised an eyebrow. “What do you want?”
There was no way Lin Mengzhi would share a room with a woman—besides, Ruan Silian was in there too. He shook his head, muttered that he’d knocked on the wrong door, and fled to try the next one.
Lin Jie? Not close. He moved on.
Cao Xian? Not close either.
Teacher Ying? Who would want to share a room with Teacher Ying? No one.
Cursing Xie Chongyi in his heart, Lin Mengzhi kept knocking.
This time, no one opened the door, but the voices inside came through clearly. He hadn’t meant to eavesdrop, but before he could walk away, the words reached his ears.
“I don’t like this position.” Wen Yuan’s voice was easy to recognize, especially the commanding tone.
“But I like it. Does being underneath make you feel humiliated? Captain Wen is far too fragile,” Pu Fei’s voice was just as recognizable, hooked and teasing. “Anyway, you’re inside me, Captain Wen.”
Pressing himself against the door, Lin Mengzhi soon heard a sound that could only be described as a breathy moan.
“Lin Mengzhi, what are you doing?” Xue Shen’s voice drifted over leisurely, startling him into a cold sweat.
Lin Mengzhi stumbled back several steps in a row, swallowing hard, his face flushed bright red.
“What’s wrong with you?” Xue Shen looked him up and down blatantly.
“Gay guys. So many gay guys,” Lin Mengzhi said in horror. “I’ve never seen this many in my life.”
Xue Shen: “……”
“I feel like I’m completely surrounded by them!”
“…Old Xie kicked you out?”
“Bullshit!” Lin Mengzhi jumped up to argue. “I left on my own. Out of sight, out of mind!”
Xue Shen couldn’t be bothered to argue with him and brushed past. “If you’ve got nowhere to sleep, come to my room with Xue Qi. You two are teammates now anyway, aren’t you?”
Lin Mengzhi followed reluctantly, keeping a noticeable distance between them.
Up ahead, Xue Shen’s voice drifted back calmly. “I saved your life that day. No matter how you look at it, you shouldn’t be treating me like this.”
Huh? Hearing that, Lin Mengzhi pulled every face he could at Xue Shen’s back while trailing behind him, then said coolly, “I already thanked you.”
Xue Shen opened the door. The person behind him moved even faster, darting into the room like a monkey. “Xue Qi, I’m squeezing in with you tonight!”
“No way. I steal the blankets when I sleep. You should sleep with my brother.”
“No, I’m sleeping with you.”
“Ah, are you gay?”
“Who are you insulting?!”
