Chapter 7.2: …you actually have a Creator God?!
By the time she understood everything, dawn had already arrived.
The door was pushed open directly. A guard stood outside.
“The Emperor summons you.”
“Yes. Please inform the guards—I will arrive immediately.”
She quickly dressed and rushed toward the “Imperial Palace.” Of course, there was no time for breakfast; her stomach ached from hunger after a sleepless night.
When she reached the “palace,” she still could not enter immediately. She had to wait outside, standing by for the “Emperor’s” summons at any moment.
Cosmic had no awareness that a living person needed to eat.
In his original world, he had been a noble. So in his mind, it was only natural that everyone else existed to serve him.
The refined woman endured the stomach pain and stood there for the entire morning before finally being allowed into his presence.
“You, come here and take a look. Blue Sea is asking what changes occur after reaching Tier 3. How should I answer?”
Even though he was arrogant, he wasn’t completely without caution.
“Just make something up. But don’t reveal anything like energy shields after Tier 3.”
The refined woman felt the sharp pain in her stomach, but still kept a flattering smile on her face.
“Your Majesty, your consideration is truly thorough. However… isn’t Meow Meow Safe City always opposing you? She’s also Tier 3. If she interferes somehow…”
Cosmic immediately agreed.
“Right. That damn cat can’t stand seeing me do well. Damn it—if she weren’t so hard to deal with, I’d be the first to take her down!”
“Your Majesty is wise. Taking down Meow Meow Safe City is only a matter of time. Now that you’ve gained Blue Sea’s trust, once you obtain a new core and expand your city again, and recruit more Sl*ves in this world, won’t it be easy to crush that cat later?”
Cosmic clearly liked hearing this. His expression softened again.
“Mm. That does make sense. Then I shouldn’t just make things up. Now that I’ve finally gained Blue Sea’s trust, I can’t ruin it.”
“Yes, Your Majesty,” the refined woman quickly agreed.
“You not only shouldn’t fabricate things—you should tell her the truth, and even volunteer additional information she didn’t ask for. That will show sincerity and make her completely drop her guard.”
Cosmic was convinced.
[Cosmic Lord Safe City]: After reaching Tier 3, the territory will still expand, but there’s an additional feature: Safe Cities gain a defensive shield. It can be activated for one hour per day and can be used for emergencies. For example, if the shield is active, a Safe City war cannot be initiated; likewise, once a war has begun, the shield cannot be activated.
[Blue Sea Safe City]: Wow! That’s such an amazing feature, I want it too =v=
[Cosmic Lord Safe City]: Keep killing zombies and collecting crystal cores. For this world, reaching Tier 3 might be a bit unrealistic for you. Going from Tier 2 to Tier 3 requires 300,000 crystal cores. But if you save up, maybe you can do it in the next world!
[Blue Sea Safe City]: Mm-mm! Thank you! You’re so reliable for sharing such important information, big bro~
Cosmic nodded in satisfaction just as he finished reading, when he suddenly heard the refined woman speak.
“Your Majesty, I suggest you tell her your coordinates…”
Cosmic instantly erupted in anger. He punched her, sending her flying a meter away.
“Are you stupid?! How can you reveal coordinates to another City Lord?!”
The refined woman bit down on her tongue, swallowing the taste of blood, and quickly put on a frightened, submissive expression.
“Your Majesty… please calm down. I… I mean… Blue Sea is a very cautious person. Unless she encounters some kind of crisis, she would never voluntarily reveal her own coordinates to us.”
“But—but if you take the initiative to expose your coordinates, on one hand it shows your sincerity and makes her trust you even more. On the other hand, we can use cooperation as bait—for example, we could say we’ve discovered a large factory here. Didn’t she say she’s been buying industrial equipment from other City Lords?”
“We give her Tier 3 information to gain her trust, then reveal the coordinates. She will definitely believe you completely. After that, we lure her in with information. At that point, it will be foolproof, Your Majesty!”
Cosmic listened and felt that it actually made some sense.
“But what if she turns around and sells me out? What if she gives my information to Meow Meow Safe City?”
The refined woman immediately showed a very confident expression.
“Your Majesty, Safe City wars can only be initiated within a five-kilometer range. You can give her coordinates that are shifted by ten kilometers.”
“By then, if you really get betrayed, and another Safe City comes over, Your Majesty will already be prepared—activate the shield to prevent being dragged into a Safe City war, then spend 1,000 crystal cores to relocate. Wouldn’t that make everything foolproof?”
She painted him a bright future:
“But if Blue Sea doesn’t betray you and comes over herself instead, you can immediately spend 1,000 crystal cores to move your Safe City next to Blue Sea’s, then start a war. At that point, it’s only a Tier 2 Safe City—no shield, nowhere to run. Wouldn’t it be completely in your grasp?”
“Hiss…”
That… actually sounded right.
“But… before even fighting, we’d already lose 1,000 crystal cores…”
Even though Blue Sea Safe City looked wealthy, it would probably be very profitable to conquer, it was still a bit painful.
The refined woman immediately corrected herself.
“Yes. That’s my mistake. Someone as lowly as me can only come up with this kind of plan. I’m sorry, Your Majesty. I’m incompetent.”
Cosmic looked at her in disgust and waved his hand.
“Forget it. There’s no other way anyway. Let’s do it like this.”
The refined woman bowed respectfully and left, lowering her eyes to hide the cold glint inside them.
If you won’t even let me eat… then go to hell.
—
Cheng Qisheng soon received a message from Cosmic, along with a set of coordinates and an overly enthusiastic message.
[Cosmic Lord Safe City]: Since you already called me big bro, I’ll recognize you as my little sister. I trust you. This is my coordinates. Big bro doesn’t need yours either, and don’t send yours to other Safe Cities. Coordinates are very important. I’m only willing to share mine because I’m strong enough. If you ever run into trouble, just call me—big bro will handle it for you.
[Blue Sea Safe City]: You actually sent me the coordinates… Big bro, you’re really this 👍. Meow Meow really misunderstood you. Thank you, big bro! I don’t really have anything to repay you, but my residents just gathered a batch of fabric—it’s good quality cotton cloth, I’ll send it to you!
—Blue Sea Safe City has transmitted three crates of white cotton cloth to Cosmic Lord Safe City—
Cheng Qisheng put down the dumbbells in her hands.
The information about Tier 3 Safe Cities matched what Meow Meow had said.
The coordinates… still needed verification, but there was an 80–90% chance they were real.
That “mouthpiece resident” had switched sides this quickly?
Faster than she expected. In her original plan, that resident would have taken at least half a month to gradually turn.
She had even prepared how to guide the conversation, how to make promises to slowly influence the mouthpiece—but none of it was needed now.
Something must have happened inside Cosmic Lord Safe City.
Cheng Qisheng sat down, hooking her feet around the dumbbells, slowly lifting them, holding for ten seconds, then lowering them again.
This had become her recent hobby—rehabilitating her body while watching frontline operations, crystal core hunters’ daily routines, and rear-base construction, occasionally chatting with other City Lords.
It was fulfilling. And enjoyable.
While doing another set of rehab exercises, she forwarded the newly obtained coordinates to Blue Sea Civilization.
She usually sent them to President Qin Zhi.
Qin Zhi would then quickly assign the task as instructed by the “Creator God,” no matter what it was.
Soon, the most elite surveying engineering team of Blue Sea Civilization calculated the offset and the distance between the two Safe Cities.
By the time Cheng Qisheng finished her set of rehab exercises, the direction and straight-line distance between the two coordinates were already placed in front of her.
“Straight-line distance: 1,057 kilometers? Not that far.”
In that case, the “very long-distance plan” could be temporarily put on hold.
The surveying engineers also provided an estimate of the actual travel route:
“According to the world map we’ve obtained, we are currently in a city called Mian’gan City, while the coordinates provided point to another city called Qianli City.”
After taking down a small town, Blue Sea Civilization had immediately brought back everything that could reveal information about this world. Just the city maps and various world maps alone numbered in the hundreds.
They first confirmed from locals what city Blue Sea Safe City was in, and then matched it with the coordinates—naturally identifying the name of the other city as well.
“Given the current situation, we may need to avoid once-prosperous urban areas and instead take low-zombie-density routes or wilderness paths. In reality, traveling from here to Qianli City may require around 1,800 kilometers.”
The surveying experts were a little excited.
“Is the military planning to advance toward Qianli City? Do we need to remap the route?”
If they really had to remap it, that would be their turn to step in—they were all eager for it.
An official sent by Qin Zhi said solemnly:
“You were assigned surveying duties by the divine decree of the Great Creator. Do not attempt to speculate.”
The experts immediately became even more excited.
They all turned toward the massive statue of the Creator God in the temple area and bowed.
“To be able to offer even the smallest contribution to our deity is our honor. We are grateful, O Creator God!”
Cheng Qisheng was already used to how all of Blue Sea Civilization behaved like her fanatical believers.
She directly sent word to Qin Zhi, asking her to give these surveying experts some rewards—extra points or similar incentives.
Even though the Creator God couldn’t grant blessings or miracles…
The Creator God could raise their salaries.
After learning the city names and obtaining the map, Cheng Qisheng closed her eyes and immediately began searching for which crystal core hunters were closest to Qianli City.
These crystal core hunters really could run.
Barely over ten days had passed, and the furthest group had already traveled more than 2,500 kilometers from Mian’gan City.
She recalled the team that had gone the farthest.
No wonder they were so fast.
Other hunter teams would kill zombies along the way, document useful resources in cities, upload intelligence to the information trading network, or even rescue local survivors.
This team, however, was pure speedrunning.
They didn’t record anything they saw, didn’t bother collecting many crystal cores, and didn’t approach survivors at all.
They started out on motorcycles, then switched to an off-road vehicle and tried wilderness survival. When the fuel ran out, they walked. If they found bicycles, they rode them. Then motorcycles again, then trucks, even scooters along the way.
Five people total. They slept in shifts, traveling day and night without pause, and somehow covered over 2,500 kilometers in just fifteen days under such harsh conditions.
Unfortunately, they were heading in the opposite direction of Qianli City.
Cheng Qisheng looked at the group—three women and two men—who were currently trapped in a tree surrounded by zombies, using makeshift bows to fight them off, and couldn’t help but project her consciousness down to ask them a question.
“Where are you going?”
The five-person team froze for a moment—then erupted in joy.
“Great Creator!”
“The Great Creator has spoken to us!”
They all began speaking over one another in excitement.
“Oh Great Creator! We heard there is an ocean in this world—we want to see it! We want to see how it differs from the Dark Star sea!”
“Oh Great Creator! We want to see the sunset over the sea! And the sunrise over the ocean!”
“Oh Great Creator! I want to try fishing in this world’s waters!”
One even tried to show the bag on their back.
“Great Creator! Look! I brought a fishing rod!”
Cheng Qisheng: “……”
She didn’t see a fishing rod.
She only saw that their food supplies were almost gone.
She searched through the mental map in her mind and recalled that earlier that morning, the five-person group had passed by a small red house and glanced at it before walking away.
She had clearly seen food inside—but those young people had acted as if they were blind.
Forget it. They were her own citizens after all. She might as well remind them.
“In the red house you passed this morning, there was a sufficient amount of food.”
The young people immediately erupted in cheers.
“Thank you, Great Creator!”
“The Great Creator has acknowledged our bravery!”
“Thank you for granting us food! You are so merciful!”
“Oh, Great Creator, you are truly omnipotent. Even though we have left our homeland and arrived in this forsaken land, your light still shines upon your people!”
Cheng Qisheng: “……”
She ignored the middle-schooler-level enthusiasm and turned her attention to other crystal core hunter teams.
Hm? There was a team quite close to Qianli City.
What were they called again?
Ah, right—Explorer Squad.
This hunter team was relatively normal.
After leaving the “fence,” they simply chose a direction and kept moving forward.
They manually drew maps along the way, avoided large zombie groups, searched for factories and supermarkets with supplies, and uploaded intelligence to the “Information Exchange” system.
Compared to other teams that suffered casualties, this squad was strong enough and cautious enough after entering cities. Including a local interpreter, all eight members had survived until now.
When Cheng Qisheng shifted her attention over, the Explorer Squad was preparing lunch.
“This canned meat is pretty good. Let’s eat a bit more today—we’ll set out tomorrow.”
Song Xi handed out canned food to the team members. The interpreter, Wang Moning, not only received canned food, but also a large braised pork knuckle.
She patted Wang Moning’s shoulder in approval.
“Today, we almost got wiped out. We were surrounded by zombies, and it was all thanks to Ningning that we found a way out!”
“What did I say? I told you before—she’s very smart! When you’re out here, you need a local guide. See? This is exactly why it works!”
After fifteen days together, Wang Moning had already understood her role in the team as a translator.
In these fifteen days, she had lost count of how many times they had run into life-threatening situations.
But it was true that shared danger rapidly strengthened bonds. She had been saved countless times, and they ate, drank, and slept together every day. The seven Blue Sea members treated her quite well, and she had gradually developed some feelings of camaraderie with them. She could even communicate with them through gestures.
When Song Xi called her “smart,” she understood the words.
But Wang Moning felt guilty—she wasn’t smart at all. The reason she could find the back roads was simply because this place was her hometown.
She waved her hands awkwardly, but the Blue Sea people took it as humility and expressed even more gratitude and approval.
Then came mealtime.
All the Blue Sea people placed their right hands over their chests, closed their eyes, and prayed with reverence:
“Great Creator, thank you for granting us this food, nourishing our bodies and extending our lives.”
“May the God above us bless Blue Sea forever.”
Wang Moning sat quietly to the side, holding her braised pork knuckle.
After half a month together, she was already used to it.
She still couldn’t fully understand what the Blue Sea people were saying, but through gestures she could grasp a rough meaning: these people believed their world had been created by a Creator God—an actual deity watching over them.
They prayed like this before every meal.
And they prayed again every time they survived a dangerous situation.
It was time to make an important decision—so they needed to pray again.
—These aliens were kind of superstitious.
Wang Moning didn’t say anything. If they wanted to be superstitious, so be it.
Anyway, these people treated her well. They gave her food and drink, protected her, cared about her. When her period came, they even stopped to boil hot water for her and found painkillers for her.
If it weren’t for the language barrier—and the fact she still hadn’t figured out whether outsiders could believe in their “Creator God”—she might have even considered joining them. It felt like that would earn her even more trust.
So she just held her braised pork knuckle and waited for Song Xi and the others to finish praying before eating together.
But right after the prayer ended—before even taking the first bite of canned meat—all seven of them suddenly stood up at the same time.
Wang Moning: “???”
She stared in shock as her seven companions lowered their heads respectfully, as if listening to something invisible.
Wait—
Don’t scare me like that!
There are only eight of us here!
Song Xi suddenly pulled out a map, pointed at something on it, and nodded solemnly.
Then all seven of them looked up again in unison.
The captain became extremely excited, gesturing wildly while speaking incoherently. Wang Moning could only make out a few words:
“Great Creator,” “glory,” “this is great,” and bursts of laughter.
Everyone looked extremely happy—but nothing had actually happened!
What the hell? Collective hysteria?
Carefully, Wang Moning asked what was going on. Through gestures, Song Xi and the others explained:
The Great Creator had delivered a divine revelation—telling them to head toward a city called Qianli City to investigate a Safe City there, and that the Creator would guide them along the way.
All seven of them were extremely happy, saying it was a great honor and joy to do work for the Great Creator.
Wang Moning: “???”
Was this… for real?
The entire journey, Wang Moning remained half-believing, half-doubting.
She knew about Qianli City—it seemed to be near her hometown—but she had no idea how to get there. In the past, it had only been a vague impression; she had never planned to go there, and hadn’t even paid attention to its direction.
If even she didn’t know the way, then Song Xi and the others certainly didn’t either.
And yet, the group set off anyway.
The seven of them moved with the same unwavering certainty, as if they could actually hear some kind of command. Whenever they hit a blocked path, they would pause, then immediately change direction and continue forward.
Along the way, they faced all kinds of hardships and near-death situations. It was extremely dangerous—but somehow, everyone had good luck. People got injured, but no one died.
And the Blue Sea seven firmly believed: the reason they were all still alive was the protection of the Creator God.
Wang Moning felt like they had all gone crazy.
But then, on what seemed like a random day, she looked up—and actually saw a road sign pointing to Qianli City.
Wang Moning: “???”
Then Song Xi led them onward. Without any communication devices—no phones, no radios, not even carrier pigeons—they somehow managed to meet up with three other teams, all “guided by the Creator God.”
Wang Moning: “???”
All three teams proudly declared that they, too, had received divine revelation in nearby cities.
And under the guidance of the Great Creator, they had arrived at Qianli City.
Wang Moning: “???”
No, sisters.
You’re telling me… you actually have a Creator God?!
