Chapter 14: The Witch’s Magic

“Good evening,” Su Mu said. Although her tone was still cold, her voice sounded completely different from usual.

With just that one sentence, it was as if some switch had been flipped. The live stream suddenly started receiving gifts, and all of them were particularly large in amount.

How large, you ask?

Even a streamer with millions of fans would have to thank each donor individually.

However, even if Su Mu wanted to thank them, she couldn’t see who was sending the gifts. The screen was filled with fireworks, rockets, and castles flying around, obscuring Su Mu’s face.

10…

100…

520…

1000…

3500…

The combo numbers grew larger and larger.

Su Mu glanced at it but didn’t pay much attention. She reached out and picked up the glass bottle next to her.

“Tonight, I’ll make some potions.”

Only then did the audience focus on the table, but as soon as they looked, the comment section was filled with people fawning over her hands.

【Shanshan’s hands!! So beautiful!】

【No matter how many times I see them, I fall in love with Shanshan’s hands all over again!】

【Forget the potions, do me instead!】

【??? What dangerous statement is that?】

【Hehehe~ So white, tender, and long~】

【So many p*rverts!】

In the dim room, a dark purple light glowed, and five glass bottles of various shapes were placed on the table, each covered with a wooden stopper.

The candlelight flickered.

Witch Shanshan didn’t start making potions right away but picked up an incense stick beside her.

Her fingers gently brushed the tip of the incense stick, and it ignited without a flame. After a spark, it gradually started burning.

【??】

【?? Did I see that right?】

【Wow! Is that magic?!】

【So amazing! Mom, I want to learn this!】

The witch in the black robe ignored them, strands of white hair falling from her robe and exposed to the camera.

“This is rat tail incense,” the witch said. “Its purpose is purification.”

As she spoke, she picked up a glass bottle, removed the wooden stopper, and inserted the incense stick into the bottle, rotating it to dispel the residual energy.

Wisps of smoke rose in front of the camera, casting a mysterious veil over everything.

“To dispel residual energy, a spell is also needed…” She began chanting a spell that the audience couldn’t understand, her clear and cold voice transmitting through the microphone to every viewer.

Shanshan’s hand grasped the glass bottle, her slender fingers looking particularly graceful. The incense stick encircled the glass bottle, and in a trance, the audience could really see the layer of grayish-black energy originally attached to the bottle being dispelled.

The witch repeated this action, cleansing all the glass bottles with the incense stick.

The comments slowed down:

【Ah…white hair?】

【Purification (mumbling)…】

【I’m tired of saying the word “amazing”!】

【Can you see it? The ‘residual energy’ in the bottle!!】

【I can see it… but it’s unclear, as if it’s there but also like an illusion!】

【Yes, it’s like an illusion caused by the incense smoke, you want to look closely, but you still can’t see it clearly!】

【It’s not an illusion, but it seems like one, ah! The reality and illusion, it’s so frustrating! Is this the realm that we ordinary people can’t touch?!】

As Shanshan did all this, she completely ignored the comments. Although it was a live stream, she went about her tasks as if she had forgotten she was even streaming.

That kind of focus could be felt by the audience through the screen.

After purifying the glass bottles, Shanshan took a few white crystals from off-camera and placed them on a pentagram candlestick.

“White crystals imbued with magical power help in purification and stabilizing the magic,” she said.

Pouring some liquid from another bottle containing green potion, Shanshan dropped the white crystals into the glass bottle. Strangely, although no other additives were present, bubbles began to emerge from the green potion the moment the white crystals were added.

Shanshan seemed tired of explaining and stopped speaking. She filled several glass bottles on the table with the unknown green potion and then picked up her wand.

This time, she chanted a very clear spell: “Grant me power, let darkness never disturb.”

The crystal at the tip of the wand lit up with a brilliant light in an instant!

“Tap!” Shanshan tapped the first glass bottle.

The green potion suddenly turned blood red.

“Thud!” Shanshan tapped the second glass bottle.

The green quickly receded, replaced by a clear sky blue.

“Tap!”

“Tap!”

“Tap!”

The witch tapped each glass bottle with her black wand.

【!!!!】

After a flood of exclamation marks, many viewers held their breath, afraid to blink and miss the magical scene unfolding before them.

As the potion colors continued to change, the comments began to dwindle. Everyone was too engrossed in watching Shanshan’s actions to type.

When the crisp sound of tapping glass bottles ceased, the colors of the five potions had all transformed.

Shanshan looked at the table, seeming to feel something was missing. She picked up the glass bottle that had turned blue and placed it aside, tapping it lightly: “Rose.”

“Tap!”

The potion’s color deepened, from a clear blue to a dark blue, as if something was churning inside. The surface of the liquid bubbled and almost overflowed from the glass bottle.

Two seconds later, a vibrant blue rose bloomed in the potion, slowly climbing out of the glass bottle that had no stopper, facing the camera, with water droplets still dripping down.

【…Wow!】

【Are we watching some kind of master magician performance? (Dazed.jpg)】

【What kind of magic is this?! Can witch magic create things out of thin air?!】

【Lady Shanshan!! (Screaming hoarsely)】

【The blue rose symbolizes miracles! The meaning of this flower, I’m too excited, I’m done!】

【Witch!!! Witch!!!】

【Who dares say Shanshan is a fake witch now!】

【Losing my mind! Shanshan! The white-haired witch!】

【Aaaaah!】

【I want to own Shanshan’s potions!】

In the camera, the witch put down her wand and picked up the stoppers with her fair fingertips, sealing all four remaining glass bottles.

“These are very common potions,” Shanshan said. “They’re not difficult to make, but… you all could never manage it, hmph.”

The witch let out a light laugh, seemingly mocking and perhaps expressing her displeasure at those who doubted her.

Her white hair stood out starkly against her black robe, the mingling of black and white exuding a sense of mystery and danger far beyond human comprehension.

The four bottles of potion glowed with beautiful colors, and the roots of the blue rose were soaked in the liquid, with something terrifying seeming to churn within the blue potion.

The candlelight flickered, and the incense went out.

Silence, an almost oppressive silence.

For some reason, as the witch let out an ambiguous hum, the comments suddenly vanished. It seemed the viewers had lost their ability to speak.
