Chapter 18: “Su Mu is my girlfriend!”
Qi Sui found the scene before him somewhat unpleasant and remarked sharply, “Do you know what’s happening here? Why are you playing the hero recklessly?”
“Although I don’t know everything, I do understand what a stalker fan is.” Feng Sa looked Qi Sui up and down. “You don’t think that Su Mu being here is because she knew you’d come, do you?”
The boy sitting across from Su Mu asked irritably, “Is it any of your business?”
Qi Sui remained silent, just glaring coldly at Feng Sa, clearly thinking he was meddling.
“Of course, it’s my business!” Feng Sa smirked. “Su Mu is my girlfriend!”
“?!” Qi Sui.
“?!” All the boys.
“……” Su Mu.
She looked up and saw Feng Sa lowering his head and giving her a sweet smile. “Right, sweetheart?”
Blink. Blink again. Look at my expression!
Su Mu found it a bit cheesy, but if it could get rid of the Qi Sui problem once and for all, she could bear it.
“Hmm.” The girl exchanged glances with Feng Sa, her eyelashes fluttering lightly, and even her tone softened a bit. “…Brother Feng Sa.”
“Your girlfriend?” Qi Sui’s tone unconsciously rose. “Just a few days ago, she confessed to me!”
“Oh,” Feng Sa nonchalantly sat down beside Su Mu, “I know, it was the day after that when we got together.”
“……” Everyone.
Are you serious?
Doesn’t this make it obvious that you’re just a backup?
Why say it so casually, even with an excited tone?
In fact, Feng Sa was excited to see Qi Sui frustrated.
Qi Sui didn’t know what to say for a moment.
“You… is she really your girlfriend?”
“What’s true can’t be fake, and what’s fake can become true.” Feng Sa lazily curved his lips, but his eyes were sharp. “So, Qi Sui, aren’t you going to apologize to my girlfriend?”
Qi Sui’s face darkened.
“How can you prove you really know each other? Even if it’s true, it doesn’t mean Su Mu isn’t here on purpose waiting for me!”
“Waiting for you?” Feng Sa sneered. “Let me give you some advice! Don’t be so narcissistic! I invited her here for dinner, so how could it be that she’s waiting for you? Are you trying to say that I like you too, Qi Sui?”
“……” Qi Sui’s expression looked as if he had swallowed a fly. “Don’t disgust me!”
“I wonder who’s disgusting who! A bunch of grown men bullying a junior girl—isn’t that disgusting? Today, you must apologize!”
Feng Sa threatened loudly, “If you don’t apologize, I’ll go to your school and tell everyone about what you’ve done!”
“Feng Sa! Don’t think we’re afraid of you!” one boy shouted angrily.
Feng Sa glanced at him and moved his wrist. “You want to fight, huh?”
“Fight? Bring it on! Who’s afraid of you?”
“Even if Su Mu is really your girlfriend, she likes our Qi Sui! Feng Sa, you’re just a backup!”
“What are you so proud of? You want to publicize our deeds? Try if you can!”
The boys started to surround them.
Su Mu frowned slightly, “You all…”
Feng Sa interrupted her reassuringly, “It’s okay, girlfriend. Today, I’ll show you how strong I am.”
Saying this, he stood up, exuding a particularly strong aura, “Let’s go, don’t ruin the boss’s business! Let’s find a place outside!”
“Just you wait!”
The group of boys all walked outside.
Qi Sui glanced back at Su Mu. The girl was staring coldly at him, her black hair falling over her book.
He turned around and followed them out the door.
Su Mu hadn’t expected things to develop this way. She definitely didn’t want Feng Sa to get into a fight because of her. Closing her book, she decided to follow them.
However, just as she closed her book, she heard Feng Sa’s voice booming through the air:
“Attention, A University alumni! These guys here are from C University!”
“They’re a bunch of grown men b*llying my girlfriend, and when I stood up for her, they tried to gang up on me! Is that fair?!”
“Help needed!!!”
Su Mu: “…”
She suddenly understood where Feng Sa’s confidence came from.
“You…” Qi Sui and his group were stunned.
What kind of move was this?
Coincidentally, this street was between A University and C University, and with that shout, almost everyone was watching.
Feng Sa, being a popular figure, was quickly recognized by many from A University. Naturally, they wanted to support their fellow student and started to gather around.
“What’s going on, Feng Sa?”
“What do you C University people want?”
Faced with the unfriendly stares of the crowd, Qi Sui and his group: “…”
Suddenly, they found themselves surrounded in reverse.
Qi Sui felt utterly humiliated and, leaving behind a “Feng Sa, you’re such a coward,” he walked away without looking back.
With Qi Sui, their central figure, gone, the others looked embarrassed, muttered a few harsh words, and quickly dispersed as well.
Watching their retreating backs, Feng Sa raised an eyebrow. Who would be foolish enough to fight against many alone?
So stupid!
Just as he was reveling in his cleverness, a girl nearby asked, “Feng Sa, do you really have a girlfriend?”
“… Maybe?” Feng Sa replied.
The girl sighed, “That’s so heartbreaking!”
After thanking the alumni for their support, Feng Sa returned to the noodle shop.
As he walked in, he noticed the girl looking at him with a strange expression.
“How was it? Impressive, right?” Feng Sa grinned.
Su Mu hesitantly nodded, “…Yes, thank you.”
“You’re welcome. After all, I chose this place to eat, so all this trouble started because of me.”
Feng Sa glanced at the menu. “Let’s skip the pleasantries and order.”
Su Mu ordered a bowl of three-flavored noodles, and Feng Sa ordered something casually.
The server glanced at them with a peculiar look before heading to the kitchen. Clearly, he had witnessed the earlier commotion.
“Su Mu,” Feng Sa rested his chin on his hand, looking puzzled. “Why did you like Qi Sui? Because he’s handsome?”
But his personality is terrible!
Directly calling a girl disgusting—does he want to be single forever?
Today, he felt like he saw Qi Sui in a new light!
Su Mu replied, “Because I was blind.”
Her tone was serious and calm.
“…Pfft!” Feng Sa burst into laughter. “Hahaha!”
After laughing enough, he felt like he got to know the seemingly cold girl in front of him better.
At that moment, the past Su Mu and the present Su Mu seemed like different people.
“I think your current personality is great! Don’t waste your time liking someone like Qi Sui; you deserve better.”
“Mm.”
“Alright, back to the main topic. Why did you suddenly want to treat me to a meal?” Feng Sa remembered something. “Did you finish reading the notes I gave you?”
“No,” Su Mu met his gaze. “It’s for another reason. I just wanted to thank you, Feng Sa. If you ever have any trouble in the future, let me know.”
Feng Sa was taken aback, “…You actually said so much to me at once.”
“…” Su Mu.
