F OP: Second round deadline: Next Tuesday (Week 7)

Second elimination livestream: Next Wednesday (Week 7)

F: Here we go, here we go!

F: As a true melon-eater, I love these drama recaps the most.

F: Did the voting deadline change? Wasn’t it Wednesday in the first round?

F: Reply to 3F: Because the center for the third performance is chosen by fans, they need to lock in the lineup earlier and also leave enough time for voting. That’s why the second elimination livestream is one day earlier, and the third performance announcement one day later.

F: Have they announced the third performance songs yet?

F: Not yet. They’ll be revealed together with the full broadcast of the second performance this weekend.

F: Why do I feel like the C-position voting is going to be even more brutal…

F: Of course! There are only five songs total—fewer than the final debut spots. How are the fanclubs going to coordinate?

F: Summoning OP! I want to see this week’s battle report! I want blood and chaos! I want fans ripping each other’s wigs off!

F: Feels like the fights have been pretty intense lately. I clicked into the public groups and saw several threads full of fan wars. The martial spirit is strong (sigh).

F: Come on, we’re already at the second performance—if there aren’t fanwars by now, it means this show is completely dead.

F OP: Major Event #1: Yuzu Fans vs. Yi Bo San Zhe Fans vs. Zhe Fans

At the second performance, Su ranked first in on-site votes, Yuzu second. Someone in the public group posted hyping Su while stepping on Yuzu [screenshot 1]. That person didn’t hide their profile, and people found they follow the Yi Bo San Zhe fan group [screenshot 2].

→ Yuzu fans cursed them as crooked CP-fans.

→ Yi Bo San Zhe fans insisted it was Zhe-fans disguising themselves as CP-fans.

→ Zhe-fans mocked Yuzu fans for self-directing and self-acting, staging victimhood.

F: I’m dying, these three fandoms have been fighting for days.

F: Is Yi Bo San Zhe the “CP” of this show? Why are they always fighting solo stans?

F: No, the real “CP” is Mo x Su.

F: I don’t get it—how did two right-side positions turn into “CP”?

F: Just a conspiracy by all-Su stans.

F: Hey, don’t say stuff like that. You’ll start another war.

F: Didn’t Yuzu fans cut ties with CP-fans the earliest?

F: Reply to 18F: Yeah. They posted about it both in the public group and in their private group.

F: The idol himself is just an ordinary rookie, yet the fanclub dared to publicly cut off CP-fans this early… gutsy move… -.-

F: If the solo stans are strong enough, there’s no need to “endure humiliation and bear heavy burdens.”

F: Someone made a chart last time—per capita spending, #1 was Yuki’s fandom / smoke

F: Reply to 20F: No need to worry, Miura Yuki is the perfect idol for solo-stan babies ^_^

F: Here’s a joke: Without CP-fans, Yuzu could never debut.

F: Honestly, Miura’s fanclub is pretty good. Unlike some fandoms that call CP-fans vampires but still cling to the traffic they bring.

F: So bold! You actually dared to shade QuCheng! Don’t you know that QuCheng is the only true CP in the show?

F: What’s “QuCheng”?

F Reply to 27F: Qu Junwei × Cheng Jinghao.

F: Reply to 20F: What else could they do? If they don’t draw a line, are they supposed to just casually ship them too?

F: Stop stirring CP drama out of nowhere, or may thunder strike you.

F: I can’t—Yuzu is a sweet little fruit baby, not a flower, not a melon! Please, all you shippers, bury yourselves together!

F: Reply to 31F: No need, at the core we’re all solo stans anyway.

F: This fan-on-fan civil war is way too complicated (stunned).

F OP: Major Event #2: Yuzu’s Livestream Highlights

Read a comment out loud: “When’s the fanservice?”

Miraculously became an E-person (extrovert)

Accidentally revealed his real name is Lai Yudong

F: Yuzu’s nomination rate is insanely high.

F: Event #2 is even a compilation…

F: Damn, was his livestream really that explosive? Did he actually say “sell CP”?

F: Reply to 81F: No, he said “maifu” (wheat bran) — very clearly and precisely.

F: Uh-oh… is Miura trying to build a “living person in C-ent” persona, then blatantly force fanservice? The solo stans already cut ties with CP-fans, and now the idol himself backstabs his fans?

F: Don’t tell me there are still people who haven’t seen Yuzu’s solo clip with 200k views — “The Shameless Wheat Bran Fail Compilation”?

F: My baby single-handedly crushed your CP-shipping dreams. Even Cupid would shake his head and say: “This Miura Yuki kid is stubborn as hell.”

F: Reply to 78F: Wait—Lai Yudong is really his name?

F: Am I the only one who knew this? Yuzu’s company is LYD Entertainment. If you check Tianyancha, you’ll see his name is Lai Yudong…

F: So this confirms Miura Yuki isn’t actually a foreigner?

F: Lol, the person above is so slow—Sherlocks deduced that ages ago.

F: Don’t take the Tianyancha thing too far, hahaha.

F: How come no one’s dug up Yuzu’s school yet? Other trainees have classmates, coworkers, even students coming forward to claim them. Some even had ex-girlfriends exposed. Why is there zero info on Yuzu?

F: Didn’t someone dig up Yuzu’s old forum posts?

F: Reply to 92F: Those were from before college, not his current school.

F: Don’t tell me Yuzu never went to college?

F: I did see a self-proclaimed elementary school classmate of Yuzu a while back, but they got debunked as just a clout-chasing influencer.

F: Maybe it’s because Yuzu used a screen name, so no one he knows realizes it’s him?

F: Is it just that our Yuzu-baby isn’t popular enough? cries

F: So should we call him Yuzu or Dong-baby from now on?

F: When we’re doing voting data during the competition, it has to be Miura Yuki. Otherwise, imagine recommending him and saying, “This guy on Climbing to Stardom is Lai Yudong,” and when people search, he doesn’t even exist online.

F: Yuzu: That’s exactly the effect I wanted.

F: He’s so… I’m crying to death.

F: But I feel like he’d actually be happy if people called him by his real name… wouldn’t he?

F: Nah, it could also be scary. Imagine you’re online and suddenly someone calls you by your real name 🙂

F: Maybe I’m being dramatic, but if I were Dong-baby, and I heard other fandoms calling their faves by their real names while my own fans only called me by my screen name… I might feel a bit hurt or distant, orz.

F: Isn’t there supposed to be a fansign after the third performance? Just ask the idol directly then.

F: Has the fansign been confirmed yet?

F: Several rumor accounts said it’ll happen, but no official announcement yet.

F: Wait—am I the only one shocked that Yuzu is an E-type (extrovert)???

F: Fans were already shocked in the livestream. Non-fans don’t really care about cyber fortune-telling for idols they don’t stan.

F: Just last week I was analyzing with a friend that Yuzu was an INFP…

F: Come on, Yuzu-baby is so decisive and goal-driven. No way he’s a P-type.

F: I don’t get it. What even is MBTI? Like a sixteen-personality version of astrology?

F: I feel like it’s more accurate than astrology.

F: Hardly any entertainers are true introverts.

F: Xu An is very much an introvert, and Qu Xinchen too.

F: What kind of socially anxious introvert would stare straight into someone’s eyes without looking away, or even dare to chat up a stranger while practicing dance next to them?

That’s why at first I was rooting for him as the aloof, cool-guy type 🙂

F: As a true social-phobic, if I had to face Peppermint-A’s devilish vibes, I’d faint on the spot.

F: Yuzu should actually be pretty good at socializing. Everyone normal he interacts with seems to get along with him.

F: Who wouldn’t like hanging out with a sweet baby who’s high EQ and has a good personality? He’s even helped smooth things over multiple times.

F: Yuzu isn’t super proactive about making friends, but he’s very proactive about taking care of people.

F: My idol’s ever-changing personas: aloof, socially anxious, extrovert.

Next step he might just transform into Liu Qichu and I wouldn’t even be surprised.

F: Is “Liu Qichu” a new adjective now? Hahaha.

F: My mute-boyfriend is gradually opening up… I feel scammed, my feelings are complicated, but I’ve already fallen into this pit so deep I can’t climb out. If I go a day without Yuzu, I feel withdrawal /smoke.

F: Doesn’t matter—Yuzu is adorable no matter what.

F: Whether he’s socially anxious or not will be obvious at the fansign. So when is the official announcement coming out already?

F OP: Major Event #9: “Listen,” “Bloody,” “Stealing Fire,” and “Embrace” all made it onto the trending list [screenshot 20].

The show only paid for two spots: the overall 2nd-performance tag and the “Stealing Fire” group tag, which landed #2 and #4. The other group tags must have been boosted by fan data, and their momentum is still climbing.

F: Sky Video really knows how to pinch pennies /sweat.

F: Jealous of Crown Prince fans—don’t even need to push data, and they still trend effortlessly.

F: The “Bloody” group hit #6. Feels like they might overtake “Stealing Fire.”

F: Those marketing accounts are smart—using Yuzu as the video thumbnail. Really just luring viewers in with his face, hhhh.

F: Not a fan, but the C-position choice was spot on.

F: A few days ago I saw a live repo and was wondering how this guy even got second place. After watching the full episode, I’d have no objection if Yuzu-baby ranked first.

F: Reply to 318F: “This guy” → “Yuzu-baby” (the shift, lol).

F: At least Sky Video did something decent—they didn’t cut Yuzu’s stage highlight where he designed the choreography.

F: Yuki’s popularity went up, and now he’s getting way more screentime in the full edits. He even had a complete storyline in the second performance.

F: I just hope Sky doesn’t sacrifice Yuzu for “drama” later… his treatment right now is so good it’s making me nervous.

F: No way. Sky only cares about money.

F: Shoutout to our rich-fan fellow stans.

F: Yuzu-fans, hurry and promote him on the trending tab! So many casual viewers are asking who the C-position is! This feels as spectacular as the ribbon performance going viral!!!

F: Wait, what? “Bloody” went viral?

F: It’s at 650k views right now. Might hit a million tonight.

F: Gotta admit, the comment-control war for the “Bloody” group was epic. Mo Li-fans and SuSu-fans were locked in a stalemate. Yuzu-fans lagged a bit behind, but still beat out Brother Bai’s side.

F: Yuzu-fans have this attitude like: “I’d rather spend money than bother liking posts.” /smoke

F: Reply to 329F: Even when people begged them to switch alts and like stuff, nobody moved. But if someone puts up live tickets, they all come crawling out.

F: Maybe it’s just age catching up with me, but I really don’t want to waste time doing data. Shouldn’t idols be judged by their actual commercial value?

F: Even though I sometimes switch accounts to spam reposts when I’m free, I still don’t get what the point of this is. Maybe it’s because this is my first time stanning someone… The “empty bottle” captions are so dumb, like “the one and only official visual center Miura Yuki,” and “Yuki [heart] Yuki [star] Yuki [candy].” A whole wall of emojis makes my eyes hurt…

F: Can’t be helped, if you don’t control the comments you’ll get mocked.

F: Outsiders will just think you’re crazy.

F: I hate doing data work, but I can loop streams. I’m totally willing to watch Yuzu’s fancam ten thousand times, prprpr.

F: Reply to 335F: Already looping it. Vampire Yuzu is so sexy /doge rose

F: I really love the “Bloody” team. All six of them are amazing—looks, skills, everything. Can’t they just debut as a package deal? T T

F: Bai Xuanhe is just a breath away from debut rank, let’s see if his fans can push him up. But Jin Xiheng and Zhang Mingche’s popularity just won’t rise, and there’s no way they’ll debut that many dance-line members.

F: Just enjoy it while it lasts. If all members of “Bloody” can stay until the finals, I’ll already be satisfied.

F: Report! “Bloody” is now #5 on the hot search!

F (OP): Major Event 11: Third Round Song Selection Announced

There are five original demos in total. You can listen to them in Episode 5’s ending or on the official voting platform.

So far:

Li fans and Yuzu fans are voting for “Grotesque”

Zhe fans are voting for “Brownie”

An fans and Feng fans are voting for “Moonlight”

He fans are aiming for a safe 3rd place ranking and gave up competing for C-position

Other fandoms are still discussing or haven’t announced yet.

Voting time: Monday to Friday next week (Week 7).

F: omg, I smell gunpowder in the air.

F: I want to see the fans fight until their heads crack open!

F: Huh? The vocal line?

F: Not just that—Li fans and Yu fans have been acting like they’re about to fight ever since the 2nd performance ticketing. Now it’s great, voting will settle it once and for all.

F: Why are Li fans and Yu fans even fighting? Don’t their idols get along pretty well?

F: Mo Li ranked 1st in the first round, but at the live vote he got pushed down by 3rd and 5th place. Of course Li fans weren’t happy, so they threw some shade. Then Yu fans had to counterattack, saying the 1st place win was full of water.

F: …What’s there to fight about? I can’t stand this “top-rank cancer.”

F: Lmao, if you’re not happy, go vote for your fave at the venue yourself! Do you think a 10-vote difference is just 10 people? That’s rich big sis money we’re talking about! Yu fans don’t have the numbers compared to the “noble” 1st place, and their lottery win rate is lower too, so they can only spend money to buy tickets. Do you know how much a single audience ticket gets scalped for?

F: Emmm, but the 3rd performance song selection is by online vote. Yu fans can’t beat Li fans, right? They’ve never won at comment control either.

F: Reply to 453F: With how much Yu fans dote on Yuzu, it’s hard to say.

F: Am I the only one who thinks Bai Xuanhe’s fanclub is actually pretty capable?

F: True. For someone like Bai Xuanhe, who hasn’t reached debut ranking but is in the higher tier, either give up on fighting for center completely, or gamble on a group with less competition pressure. Otherwise it’s just wasted effort.

F: I just know no one’s gonna dare step into the battlefield of “Grotesque” and “Moonlight” anymore.

F: Yuzu has said many times he’s not suited to be center. The 2nd performance center was basically picking up leftovers—at its core it was just rotating centers. That’s why Yu-rich big sis are dead set on voting him into the center spot, to make him a real exclusive center.

F: Reply to 458F: That’s kinda hype.

F: If Yu fans want to protect the center, then they can’t protect his ranking.

F: Oh right—the timeline is: 3rd performance song voting → 2nd round/3rd segment → announce 3rd performance → 3rd round. The song vote and the 3rd segment actually overlap in time.

F: Why does just voting have to be so complicated?

F: It depends on what Mo Li’s fanclub decides—do they want to secure 1st in the 3rd round, or do they want the 3rd performance center?

F: Why don’t both sides just vote for different songs? Instead they have to fight to the death. If they both fall in the 3rd round, they’ll lose big time.

F: The problem is—who’s willing to voluntarily give up “Grotesque”? Dropping out of the center fight at this point would basically be admitting defeat.

F: Feels like both sides have lost their heads.

F (OP): Major Event 12: Fansign Event [screenshot 33]

Participating members: Top 7 on the star ranking

Event date: Sunday after next (Week 8)

Voting period: Next Sunday to the following Saturday (Week 7 to Week 8)

F: Wow! Finally official!

F: So after the 3rd performance song vote, we rest for one day, then it’s straight into a new ranking vote?

F: Now we have to vote for the 3rd performance center and the fansign slots. The Starseekers are busier than the idols themselves /sweat.

F: So annoying. Why can’t they just send the top 7 from Round 2 straight to the fansign? The moment I see the word “vote” I feel like throwing up, but I can’t not vote 🙂

F: That’s how survival shows work.

F: Based on past seasons, some fanbases will definitely realize their idol can’t debut, so they’ll strategically give up on the 3rd round and just go all-in for the fansign slots.

F: Oh no, that means fans are gonna suffer again, right?

F: Suddenly I’m really worried about Yuzu’s ranking. We want both the center and the fansign—will we still have enough energy left to vote in the 3rd round?

F: In Round 2 you could vote for three trainees, but in Round 3 you can only vote for one. With a bigger casual-voter base and fewer hardcore stans, rankings are bound to drop.

F: Yuzu has quite a lot of hardcore fans though, right? It’s people like Xu An and Jiang Yangfan who are in more danger.

F: Doesn’t matter. If the ranking drops, just take it as fan torture. Before the finale we’ll fire everyone up again. It’s fine—some Yu fans always think Yuzu’s guaranteed to debut anyway, like they can just vote casually and he’ll still make it.

F: But I’m scared the “fan torture” will actually torture Yuzu ahhh!

F: The only thing that could torture Yuzu is if Liang Zhisheng gets eliminated.

F: Reply to 480F: ? Don’t stab me with a 707 knife.

F: It’s just the 3rd round ranking, not the final debut ranking anyway. Either way, the one and only god of Star’s stage must participate! Weld Yu-baby onto that fansign seat for me!

F: +1, we might as well ask the person himself which name he prefers.
