Chapter 331 – Roommate Introductions

But she didn’t want to be misunderstood, so she explained with a cold face, “I’ve been divorced for two years. My ex-husband belittled me for only having a daughter after being married for so long. He then got involved with a widow from the village. We divorced when she became pregnant. After that, I’ve been living with my child at the educated youth spot. I managed to get into Peking University after the college entrance exams resumed.”

Though it was just a few short sentences, the content was heavy and left a sense of discomfort. Truly, it hadn’t been easy!

Lu Xia and the others felt sympathy for her as they listened. Only Xie Guifang curled her lips, seemingly thinking that Tan Yunfang brought her situation upon herself for not having a son.

Lu Xia was surprised to learn that Tan Yunfang was still in her twenties. She looked like she was in her thirties, probably because she had been through a lot over the years.

Hearing this, Tan Yunfang smiled, seemingly not too concerned. “I’m not thinking about that right now. I just want to study hard, get a good job in the future, and raise my child.”

Others in the dormitory teased her a bit upon hearing this, while Tang Yuan and Yu Wan, at 18 and 19 respectively, were too young to have romantic partners.

After chatting for a while, they found that everyone had a good personality. Lu Xia was quite satisfied with her new roommates. As for Xie Guifang, well, she was effectively ignored.
