“I don’t like you. Before confessing, didn’t you take a look at yourself?”
When Su Mu opened her eyes, she saw a tall young man in front of her, frowning with an impatient look on his face.
As for herself, she was reaching out her hands, offering something that looked like a love letter.
A trace of confusion flashed in Su Mu’s eyes. Where was she?
While she was puzzled, a large segment of memories that didn’t belong to her appeared in her mind.
“Get lost,” the handsome young man said coldly.
After receiving the memories, Su Mu realized she had transmigrated into a book. The original owner of this body was a college student, and the person in front of her was the famous school heartthrob, Qi Sui.
The original owner had just confessed to him but was rejected.
The people around them started to jeer and make fun.
Sarcasm, pity, sympathy… all kinds of gazes fell on Su Mu.
She snorted coldly. The shyness, nervousness, and anticipation on her pretty face disappeared, replaced by a frosty coldness: “Classmate Qi, the road is so wide. Do I really need to move for you to pass?”
The girl’s cool and indifferent voice stunned everyone.
How dare she talk to Qi Sui like that?
Wasn’t she afraid that Qi Sui would dislike her even more?
Besides, wasn’t she blushing with shyness just now when she confessed?
How could she change so quickly?
Qi Sui was also stunned for a moment, then his eyes showed some disdain: “Do you think this will get my attention?”
Su Mu glanced at him indifferently, and with her slender white hands, she ruthlessly tore the pink letter paper in half: “Liking you doesn’t give you the right to disrespect me. Moreover, from now on, I won’t bother you anymore.”
“…” Qi Sui frowned slightly, now even more puzzled.
“Ha, she’s just embarrassed and angry! If she has the guts, she should never bother the senior again!” a nearby student said disdainfully.
“Exactly! She was rejected by Senior Qi and is now trying to get his attention in another way!”
“Who writes love letters these days? Seriously?”
“Does anyone know her? Which department is she from?”
“She’s from that useless Herbal Medicine Department, named Su Mu!”
“No wonder she’s from a garbage department!”
“Do you think you deserve Senior Qi?”
“…”
Amidst this flood of ridicule, everyone thought this young girl would be so ashamed that she’d want to disappear. However, she just glanced at them coldly, as if looking at mere air, and said two words indifferently: “So boring.”
“…” The crowd was stunned.
After Su Mu finished speaking, she intended to leave. From the memories she had received, she knew that the character she had become was a minor supporting role who would soon face a life-and-death crisis for impersonating a witch. She had no time to waste on such childish games with these people.
The girl, dressed in a white dress, now had an aura of cool detachment, like an elegant moon in the sky—bright yet unreachable.
Qi Sui was startled and instinctively called out, “Wait…”
But the girl didn’t stop for even a moment and walked straight away.
The remaining people exchanged looks, and their gazes finally settled on Qi Sui.
Feeling embarrassed under their scrutiny, Qi Sui forced a stern expression and said, “Does she still think this will attract my attention? Such rudeness is laughable.”
The crowd thought he had a point. Just moments ago, Su Mu seemed so shy she wanted to disappear, so how could she suddenly stop liking the school heartthrob?
They dispersed while mocking her, and within a day, rumors of Su Mu’s rejected confession and her ensuing embarrassment spread throughout the entire university.
Su Mu was unaware of the rumors spreading.
Before she even returned to her dormitory, two girls caught up to her from behind.
“Su Mu, how dare you speak to Qi Sui like that just now?”
“Yeah, Su Mu, don’t say we didn’t help you. We gave you the school heartthrob’s schedule, and you blew it!”
“Su Mu, you should apologize to the school heartthrob!”
“Next time, you can sit next to him in class. You’re so pretty; he’ll fall for you eventually!”
Their words seemed to offer advice, but their tones were full of schadenfreude.
Su Mu ignored them.
The two kept talking until they reached the dorm. They were Su Mu’s roommates and had repeatedly urged the original owner to confess by writing a love letter.
Su Mu entered the dorm, walked to her spot, and began packing her things.
One roommate noticed and asked, “Su Mu, where are you going? There’s still class this afternoon!”
Su Mu replied succinctly, “I have something to do.”
“Are you embarrassed to go to class because your confession was rejected?” another roommate sneered.
Su Mu didn’t respond.
The last roommate complained, “Su Mu! What do you mean by this? Are you trying to run away? You haven’t fetched water for me yet today!”
Su Mu stopped packing, turned around, and coldly said, “Don’t you have hands?”
“You…!” The curly-haired roommate was stunned.
By then, Su Mu had finished packing what she needed. She slung her bag over her shoulder and left the dormitory.
The remaining three roommates stared at her back, a bit dumbfounded.
Today’s Su Mu… why was she acting so strange?
“Who do you think you are? Got some nerve, huh!” Zhang Qi, the curly-haired roommate, stood up angrily, walked over to Su Mu’s spot, and swept her hand across the desk, knocking over makeup and a water cup.
Amid the clattering noise, she sneered, but her expression froze when she noticed the girl standing at the door again.
Normally, she wasn’t afraid of Su Mu, but there was something different about her cold, indifferent eyes today that made Zhang Qi suddenly feel a bit intimidated.
Su Mu stared coldly at Zhang Qi and walked back into the room.
“What kind of look is that? Do you have a problem?” Zhang Qi said, her neck stiff.
Before she could finish, she was kicked hard, falling to the floor in a mess, her hand cut by glass shards, and her backside hurting from the fall.
“Su Mu…” The other two roommates were stunned.
The usually timid Su Mu had never been this fierce.
Su Mu walked up to Zhang Qi, looked down at her, and said in an icy voice, “Don’t touch my things again.”
“I…” Zhang Qi was scared stiff.
After speaking, Su Mu glanced coldly at the other two, making them step back in fear.
Only then did she turn away, walk to her spot, take her phone from the drawer, and leave the dorm.
“Qiqi, are you okay?” The other two finally went to help her up.
“Su Mu!” Zhang Qi, regaining her composure, gritted her teeth. “She’s got some nerve! Daring to hit me! Xiao Yin, help me to the advisor. I’m going to teach Su Mu a lesson!”
The other two had no objections.
