Chapter 433 – Second Pregnancy
When Lu Xia woke up again, she was in the hospital.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she didn’t yet know what day it was.
Then she heard the concerned voice of Jiang Junmo.
Lu Xia turned to look at him and suddenly remembered what had happened before…
That pungent smell of blood seemed to reappear.
She couldn’t hold it in anymore and covered her mouth, about to vomit. Jiang Junmo quickly handed her a spittoon.
Lu Xia vomited directly.
She vomited until only sour water was left, unable to vomit anymore, and then she lay down again.
Jiang Junmo got up to empty the spittoon and gave her some water to rinse her mouth.
But Lu Xia, lying back down, still felt very uncomfortable. She felt nauseous but couldn’t vomit, her face turning pale.
Jiang Junmo couldn’t bear to see her like this and came over to pat her head, asking, “Are you still feeling unwell? Do you want to eat something?”
Lu Xia shook her head, “I can’t eat.”
“How about some milk powder? Shall I make you a cup of milk powder?”
As he was about to get up, Lu Xia stopped him.
Lu Xia looked at him carefully and noticed that he still had sweat on his forehead and his eyes were slightly red, indicating that he had been worried earlier.
So she smiled at him and said, “I’m fine, just a little nauseous. It’ll pass. Tell me what happened earlier.”
Jiang Junmo looked at her carefully and then sat down again.
Shaking his head, he said, “I don’t know either. After you fainted, I brought you to the hospital right away, and I’m not clear about the rest.”
Lu Xia listened in silence. In fact, even without asking, she had a rough idea of what had happened earlier, but she didn’t know who was involved.
Just as she was about to ask herself what had happened and why she had suddenly fainted, the door to the hospital room opened, and Fourth Sister-in-law, dressed in a nurse’s uniform, walked in.
Fourth Sister-in-law smiled when she saw that Lu Xia had woken up, “Oh, you finally woke up! You really scared me. Being pregnant, you should be more careful. You even scared Xiao Mo. I thought you had some terminal illness! Look at how pale your face is. You’ll have to take good care of yourself when you go back!”
Fourth Sister-in-law talked on and on, but Lu Xia only heard one sentence.
She looked at Jiang Junmo in disbelief.
Jiang Junmo nodded, “Yes, I found out when the doctor examined you. They say it’s been two months.”
Lu Xia was astonished. How could she be pregnant? Why hadn’t she noticed before?
Then she remembered the time when they hadn’t used protection.
Her expression became complicated, and she hadn’t expected that what she thought was a safe period wasn’t safe at all, and she had won the jackpot.
On the other side, Jiang Junmo, seeing Lu Xia suddenly fall silent, felt worried and nervous. He opened his mouth to say something but didn’t know what to say.
He was afraid that she might not want the child, especially since they had been using contraception ever since they had their son Kang Kang. However, he silently resolved to respect whatever decision she made, as Lu Xia was the most important person to him.
As Lu Xia thought things through, she looked at Jiang Junmo’s anxious expression and quickly understood his thoughts.
She smiled at him and said, “It’s okay, it’s just a bit sudden. I wasn’t prepared. My menstrual cycle was normal just last month, and I really didn’t think about getting pregnant.”
Fourth Sister-in-law, who was on the side, said, “Your situation is normal. Don’t worry. Just don’t overexert yourself later on, and take good care of yourself.”
Lu Xia nodded and then looked at Jiang Junmo again, “But I’m still a student now. Will the school have any concerns about my pregnancy? And what about Kang Kang? Will he not want a younger sibling to share his favor with?”
Now that she knew she was pregnant, Lu Xia was surprised but quickly accepted the news. Since the child was on the way, it was their fate, and she was happy about it.
But at this moment, she was still a student, which was somewhat inconvenient, and she also had to consider Kang Kang’s feelings.
Chapter 434 – Someone Jumped 0ff the Building
Jiang Junmo didn’t let her continue talking, knowing that she wanted to keep the child.
He immediately breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, “The school won’t be a problem. Among our two batches of students, there are quite a few who are married. Last semester, there were even some who attended class while heavily pregnant. They’ll understand. As for Kang Kang, you don’t need to worry at all. He has always wanted a little brother or sister to play with, so he won’t be unhappy.”
Fourth Sister-in-law, who was on the side, added, “That’s right, don’t worry. Just like my two at home, they fight sometimes, but when they’re outside, they’re always together, inseparable. Children need siblings; otherwise, they’ll be too lonely.”
Lu Xia nodded in agreement, and her last worry vanished. “I understand.”
Fourth Sister-in-law smiled and said, “You’re still in the early months, and you might have been a bit tired before, which is why you fainted. Take good care of yourself from now on, and don’t overexert.”
Lu Xia obediently nodded, and Jiang Junmo also promised to take good care of her.
After that, there was nothing more to be done at the hospital. Lu Xia just needed to take care of her health. So, after bidding farewell to Fourth Sister-in-law, they left the hospital.
Since Jiang Junmo had already taken leave from school, they went directly home.
At home, only Aunt Wang was there at the moment. Grandpa Jiang had gone visiting. When Aunt Wang saw the two of them return, she was surprised and even more excited when she heard about Lu Xia’s pregnancy. She immediately wanted to go out and buy a chicken to make soup for her.
But Lu Xia said she wanted something lighter, so they decided against it.
When Grandpa Jiang came home at noon and found out about Lu Xia’s pregnancy, he was also delighted and promised to cook some delicious food for her in the future.
When Uncle and Aunt Jiang found out in the evening, there was an atmosphere of joy in the house.
Even Kang Kang, when he found out, carefully lay on Lu Xia’s belly and called the baby “sister.”
Lu Xia’s worries didn’t materialize, and she finally felt at ease.
The next day, Jiang Junmo wanted her to rest at home for a few days before returning to school, but she refused.
She had rested well last night, and though she still felt nauseous at times, she could endure it, so she decided to go to school.
As soon as she entered the school, Lu Xia was reminded of what happened yesterday.
She and Jiang Junmo had been avoiding thinking about it since yesterday, but on their way to school, they could overhear others discussing it quietly.
Worried, Jiang Junmo escorted her to the classroom building and gave her instructions before leaving.
Once Lu Xia entered the classroom, she was met with concerned looks from Yu Wan.
“You took a sick day yesterday? What happened?”
The classroom was crowded at the moment, and Lu Xia didn’t want to reveal her pregnancy, so she simply said she wasn’t feeling well.
Yu Wan, initially worried, felt relieved when she saw that Lu Xia’s complexion was okay at the moment.
Then she whispered, “There was a major incident at school yesterday!”
Lu Xia’s eyes flickered upon hearing this. “What happened?”
“The school doesn’t allow public discussion of it. I’ll tell you when we’re back in the dorm.”
Luxia nodded, knowing she couldn’t hear more at the moment.
When they returned to the dormitory at noon, everyone was worried when they saw Lu Xia. Only after she shyly explained her pregnancy did they look at her belly in surprise and offer their congratulations.
Then, they began to discuss the major event that occurred yesterday.
“You probably can’t guess who it was, can you?” Ye Nan asked.
“Who was it?” The other dorm mates only knew that someone had jumped 0ff the building yesterday but didn’t know who it was.
At the time, the school had tried to keep it under wraps, but there were too many students who had witnessed it, and they couldn’t keep it a secret. They had eventually asked everyone not to discuss it. They hadn’t revealed the specific identity, so everyone was quite curious.
