Chapter 315 – Sisters-in-Law and Brothers-in-law

After packing up their things, the two of them came downstairs. Grandpa Jiang and the others weren’t around, only Aunt Wang was preparing lunch ingredients.

The fourth sister was a nurse, and her husband was a doctor. They had a son and a daughter.

Listening to all this, Lu Xia was a bit surprised. She had thought her sisters-in-law had married into well-off families, but it turned out their husbands were quite ordinary.

She voiced her thoughts and asked Jiang Junmo about it. After all, the Jiang family seemed well-to-do, so shouldn’t they have sought matches from similarly well-off families?

Jiang Junmo chuckled in response. “Actually, none of the sisters had their marriages arranged by the family. The Jiang family doesn’t particularly emphasize matching social status. The eldest sister and her husband, as well as the fourth sister and her husband, met through work connections. The second sister’s husband was a childhood friend. Once she had learned about all her sisters-in-law and their husbands, Grandpa Jiang returned with Kang Kang.

Both the young and the old had smiles on their faces, appearing quite happy.

Kang Kang ran over to Lu Xia and exclaimed, “Mom, dogs!”

Lu Xia was puzzled. “What dogs?”

“At Grandpa Dong’s house, there are dogs!”

Just then, Grandpa Jiang from behind added, “The Dong family has two retired military dogs. Kang Kang really likes them. One of these days, Grandpa will help you choose a couple of dogs too. We’ll raise them from a young age!”

“Okay, let’s raise them!” Kang Kang’s voice was enthusiastic, clearly delighted!

Lu Xia helplessly said, “Grandpa, you don’t have to spoil him.”

Grandpa Jiang waved his hand dismissively. “What’s wrong with getting a couple of dogs? I’ve wanted to have some for a while now. We just didn’t find the right ones before. Since Kang Kang likes them too, I’ll look for some good ones.”

During lunchtime, Grandpa Jiang noticed that Lu Xia was eating without hesitation, quite casually. He smiled with satisfaction. After the meal, he said, “If you’re tired, rest at home. If not, you can go out for a stroll. Xiao Yu can send you.”

Jiang Junmo nodded, “I need to go and pick up some luggage this afternoon.”

Grandpa Jiang understood, “You can also visit your third sister and see if there’s anything she needs. Get some things for her.”

Afterward, Grandpa Jiang went for a nap. Lu Xia and Jiang Junmo took Kang Kang back to their room to rest for a while.

In the afternoon, after waking up, Grandpa Jiang took Kang Kang out to visit others.

Lu Xia and Jiang Junmo took a car to retrieve their luggage.

Lu Xia glanced at Jiang Junmo and noticed a helpless smile in his eyes, so he probably realized it too.

As they got closer to home, they got out of the car directly, intending to greet Grandpa Jiang and their neighbors.
