Chapter 585 – Liu Song
No matter how dissatisfied she was, she had to pull herself together and continue the interviews the next day.
However, luck was better this time, and she was relatively satisfied with the first person she interviewed.
This person was named Liu Song, only 20 years old this year. After graduating from high school and not getting into college, he had been working in business with relatives and older family members.
He already had two years of work experience.
The young man was smart and capable of running errands and various tasks. He had been working diligently since he had nothing when he started with his relatives.
But who would have thought that after the relatives’ business grew, they would kick him out and let their own son take over his job. So, despite working for two years, he didn’t earn much money and ended up with nothing.
But since his relatives were influential, he couldn’t argue. His family conditions weren’t good, and his parents weren’t in good health, relying on him to support the family.
So, he had no choice but to look for another job.
Coincidentally, he saw the recruitment information for a beauty salon in the newspaper and decided to give it a try.
After listening to his experience and carefully observing his appearance, Lu Xia noticed that the young man looked very youthful, had an amiable smile, and was good at communication.
According to him, he used to work in the seafood business with his relatives, handling external communication and finding clients.
However, since his relatives had the capital, he only earned a fixed salary. Based on what he said, it wasn’t much.
Considering his capabilities, Lu Xia thought he was quite suitable for starting her own business, but the lack of funds was a hindrance.
“If you had enough capital, would you choose to start your own business?”
Liu Song pondered for a moment, “I probably would, but I might switch to a different industry. My cousin helped me when I was in my most difficult times, so I don’t want to compete with him in the same business.”
Lu Xia nodded, not surprised, and said, “Aren’t you afraid that I might think you’re not stable by saying this? When we want to hire someone for our company, we naturally want them to stay for a long time. What if you make enough money and start your own business?”
Liu Song shook his head upon hearing this, “The ‘what if’ you mentioned doesn’t apply. What if I really manage to make enough money for a startup in a few years? It would indicate that your company has great potential for growth, and I could earn money within the company. Why would I want to venture into an unstable startup? Moreover, I’m not particularly interested in starting my own business. My goal is just to make money. If I can earn enough money working at your company, I won’t think about doing it myself. After all, starting one’s own business is getting harder these days, and no one can guarantee making money for sure.”
Lu Xia nodded without expressing doubt and asked, “Do you know about our company? We are in the beauty and cosmetics industry. Don’t you think, as a man, you might not fit well in such a company?”
Liu Song shook his head, “I don’t think so. I believe there shouldn’t be significant gender differences in any industry. Your company does not specify gender requirements in the job postings, indicating that men can also apply.”
“And you won’t mind? After all, if someone asks, saying that you sell cosmetics in a beauty company doesn’t sound good.”
Liu Song shook his head again, “I don’t care about others’ opinions. I know it myself.”
Lu Xia nodded and didn’t press further, “Alright, that’ll be all for now. You can go back and wait for our notification. We’ll contact you in a few days.”
Upon hearing her words, Liu Song was almost certain in his heart and finally showed a smile, “Alright, I understand.”
After he left, Lu Xia felt quite pleased. Although he was young, he had a mature personality and was suitable for a courier role. If they hired him, they wouldn’t need Ye Lin to personally handle matters like registering the company and various qualifications.

Chapter 586 – The End of Recruitment
.
In the following days, Lu Xia found several suitable employees one after another.
And then the interviews came to an end…
Initially, she wanted to wait for Ye Lin to have some free time and let her review the candidates she had selected, essentially a second interview. However, Ye Lin directly entrusted her with the decision, expressing trust in her judgment and not wanting to review them again.
Seeing that Ye Lin genuinely didn’t want to go through the candidates again, Lu Xia didn’t insist.
She then sent messages to these people, instructing them to come for work.
Of course, she took the extra step of consulting a lawyer and preparing labor contracts.
A bit regretfully, they didn’t manage to hire a human resources manager this time, so Lu Xia had to handle these matters herself. Nonetheless, they successfully filled most of the crucial positions.
This included Zhu Mei for the accounting position. Besides her, there was a treasurer in her forties who had worked in a factory previously. However, due to health issues, they had temporarily left work and now sought employment again after their health improved somewhat. The government compensation for their previous job had ceased, so they needed a new source of income to support their family.
Lu Xia saw the potential in this candidate and hired them as well.
With these two working together, they could mutually oversee each other, and the company’s financial transactions became more standardized.
Additionally, there was Liu Song, hired as an assistant manager.
He was essentially an assistant for both Lu Xia and Ye Lin.
During the company registration this time, they maintained the same proportion of ownership as before. Lu Xia initially thought that since her primary focus wasn’t here, she could let Ye Lin be the general manager. However, Ye Lin insisted otherwise.
In the end, Lu Xia was appointed as the general manager, and Ye Lin became the deputy general manager. However, Ye Lin still managed the company’s administrative matters.
Meanwhile, Lu Xia was only responsible for setting the company’s development direction.
So, Liu Song mostly followed Ye Lin.
The rest were administrative and business employees. They didn’t hire many initially, primarily because they hadn’t found satisfactory candidates.
Once these individuals were in place, the company began to get busy.
The new employees started working, and Liu Song, in particular, had no idle time. He was directly dispatched by Lu Xia to the Industry and Commerce Bureau to handle qualification registrations.
Currently, the company’s management team was still too small. In the future, they would need separate leadership for cosmetics and beauty salons.
Additionally, franchise operations and the factory needed responsible individuals—the factory required a factory manager…
In short, they were still short-staffed. But for now, they had to take it one step at a time.
After finishing these tasks, Lu Xia was about to start the new semester.
She entrusted the management of the company to Ye Lin. After Lu Xia’s guidance for some time, Ye Lin was growing more and more like a boss.
She understood how to delegate tasks and was no longer solely occupied with her own work.
Meanwhile, Master Zhong primarily handled the beauty salon’s operations.
The company’s accountant also took charge of the beauty salon’s finances, relieving Ye Lin from the need to handle the calculations personally, making her job much easier.
On the other hand, Lu Xia returned to the school before the students started the new semester and began preparing for the upcoming teaching work.
She attended numerous meetings, prepared teaching materials, and communicated the teaching progress with other teachers simultaneously.
Once everything was ready, the new semester began, and Lu Xia resumed her teaching career, spending less time at the company.
However, she still visited the company once a week to check on the current progress.
On this Friday evening, Lu Xia and Ye Lin had planned to have a meeting.
On the way to the company, they saw the class monitor riding a bicycle as well. So, they greeted him.
“Class monitor, are you heading home after work?”
The class monitor smiled and replied, “I’m going to pick up my wife after work.”
I guess, one silver lining to the tragedy of losing her dream job like that is the fact that she now has more time to spend developing her company. It might not have been what she wanted initially, but she’ll probably end up wealthier for it.
